The academic staff union of universities, ASUU has hinted on a fresh industrial strike action following the federal government’s inability to adhere to its outstanding demands.
The union while making this known in its latest commique obtained by Ogbonoblog’s chief editor, Chisom Samuel further highlighted that it’ll take necessary actions if the government fails to respond.
The release which was directed to all ASUU members including the union’s chairman and other core members.
As seen from the memo, not even one of their demands ranging from the EAA, withheld salary, wage award and salary increment have been met.
The memo reads further;
“Everything has been at a standstill, nothing is happening, we are consulting nationally and we are holding our NEC meeting soon, we will decide the next line of action at the nec meeting.

The union went further to express its utmost disatisfaction towards what it described as unending “lies” from the nigerian government, insisting that it might just consider a strike action in its next meeting.
You would recall that some months ago, the union’s president, Emmanuel Osodeke had called out the former education minister in a live interview session over his alleged refusal to fulfill his promises.
