Gunmen kidnapped over 20 medical students in Benue State, Nigeria, on August 15, 2024. The students, traveling to the Federation of Catholic Medical and Dental Students (FECAMDS) convention in Enugu, were ambushed around 5:30 PM in Otukpo. They were traveling in two buses, coming from the University of Maiduguri and the University of Jos.
