In a recent interview held, Nigerian sex therapist, Hauwa Mohammed AKA Jaruma when questioned about the longevity of her marriage, Jaruma drew parallels with Veekee James, a popular Nigerian fashion designer and gospel singer. Jaruma suggested that James hired her husband, Femi Atere, for social media content.
She admits that she didn’t marry for love, but for the sake of society letting her be. “I didn’t marry for love, I just married so that society can leave me alone”
When she’s asked about her staying together with her husband, she replied, “It was just for a little while, it’s more like what Veekee James is doing, using her husband for content, you know, you rent husband and be using him for content, that’s what Veekee James is doing now… ” The talk of her husband (Jaruma) was brought up as regards the drug addiction story.

During this period, there were speculations that Jaruma, who prides herself as Nigeria’s most trusted, most successful, and highest-paid sex therapist in the last decade, was in rehab for drug addiction. Jaruma, who runs a sex enhancement brand, last made the news in March 2023 after revealing she charges N1 million for a physical meeting and N250,000 for a phone conversation and also how she allegedly was in rehab.
