Hailing from Oraifite in Ekwusigo Local Government Area of Anambra State, Chioma completed her primary education at Onward Nursery and Primary School in Lagos State. Next, she proceeded to Federal Government Girls College (FGGC) in Onitsha, Anambra State for her secondary education. Furthermore, she studied Banking and Finance at Lagos State University, laying a solid foundation for her future endeavors.

Chioma launched her acting career with her debut in the movie “The Apple” in 2000. Additionally, she acted in the film “The Handkerchief” the same year. Her breakthrough role came in 2007 when she won the Africa Movie Academy Award for “Best Actress in a leading role” for her outstanding performance in the movie “Sins of the flesh”. Moreover, she won the Afro Hollywood award for best actress in a lead role in 2010, solidifying her position as a leading lady in Nollywood.
