Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu, a visionary leader and former Governor of old Abia State and Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, was laid to rest in Uburu, Ebonyi State on Friday 8th November, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of remarkable service and devotion.
In addition, to honor his contributions, Abia State Governor Alex Otti renamed Abia State Polytechnic, Aba, after Dr. Onu, acknowledging his transformative impact. The Polytechnic will henceforth, be known as Dr Ogbonnaya Onu Polytechnic, Aba.
